The 'New Cyanotype' Process

The 'New Cyanotype' Process image

Invented by Mike Ware in the 1990s, the ‘New cyanotype’ is an improvement on the original cyanotype process. The 'new cyanotype' gives a better tonal range and can enrich your cyanotype prints. This new process is more sensitive and has exposures that are two times shorter than regular cyanotype chemistry. This is an introductory class that gives an overview of the process, making a few prints, and various tips that can help save you time in this process. Please bring digital negatives, film negatives, or items (to be laid on top of the paper for cyanotype photograms) for making your prints. If you've been yearning for more from your cyanotype prints, this class is tailored just for you.
